Gorgeous. Remote. QUIET. Everything I could have asked for!
Absolutely beautiful place with gorgeous sights and views. Me and my friends hiked out to the end camp site, which was far but well worth it. Only problem was is that there was no way to get water along the trail and the main one at the start of the trail was out. We had no water so we had leave the next morning. Really wish the first one was working or that there was another pump along the trail some where.
If you want a no frills state park, this is it. No campers, no electricity, no showers. Perfect for bare bones camping. The rugged trails that connect to Superior Hiking Trail are beautiful.
Great hiking trails and the falls are pretty spectacular! Good place to go camping.
This is definitely a wilderness experience! That being said, the eager adventurer should remember all the things that go along with that: freshwater, food, and bears! The trails are not the most well maintained (only reason why this isn't a 5 star review) and can be dangerous at night. Steep hills and valleys make this a difficult hike so only bring what you absolutely need! The river isn't super deep, but the falls are great! Overall, this was a wonderful experience, though I cannot recommend for the casual hiker/camper.
